Barbican Beverage Products
The non-alcoholic malt beverage Barbican originated in the United Kingdom and was first introduced in the Middle East in 1982:
- Origin: Bass Brewery in the UK originally manufactured Barbican.
- Middle East introduction: Aujan Industries began importing Barbican for sale in the Middle East in 1983.
- Brand acquisition: Aujan purchased the Barbican brand in select markets in 1999 and gained complete control in 2010.
- Local production: Aujan began manufacturing Barbican locally in Dubai in 2005.
Barbican is now distributed by the Aujan Coca-Cola Beverage Company (ACCBC). It is a leading non-alcoholic malt beverage brand in the region, especially popular with young people. Barbican is made from barley and is best enjoyed chilled. It is available in a variety of flavors and pack types, including glass bottles and aluminum cans.
Barbican was originally manufactured by U.K.- based Bass Brewery . Aujan Industries began importing the drink for sale in the Middle East in 1983. Alongside the Swiss-made Moussy, Barbican was the first non-alcoholic malt drink to be sold in the region.
